Wedding details : )

Last Wednesday was the 16 months mark in the countdown until the wedding!
I couldn't think of any new fresh ideas as of late. So I switched gears and thought about things that I love. I figured once I had a list of things I loved, I could figure out how to incorporate those things into the wedding.
Here's my list.

1. Cody!
2. Buttons!
3. Shiny things
4. Ribbons
5. Cupcakes
6. Balloons
7. Bright colors

Okay, so here is a small list of things I love. Now here are my ideas.

1. Yeah, I might wanna include him in the wedding somehow : p
2. I got the idea that I could make my own placement cards for at the reception and use buttons to make them cute. Well, then I thought about having to cut out little rectangles and how un-fun that would be. Here's where ANOTHER idea hit me. I can order Vistaprint.com business cards (fairly cheap and good) and then I'll have the shape taken care of without countless hours of measuring and cutting. When I order the bussiness cards, all I'm going to do is have a line about 1/3 of the way down from the top (where I can then write the name of whoever's place card is there) And then about 2/3of the way down, I can write Table # ___. When I get these cards, and all the RSVPS are in, I can write the name of the people on these cards, their table number, and glue a button on it! Tada! Really cheap placement cars with BUTTONS!
3 and 4. I love shiny things. I love ribbon. SHINY RIBBON!!! The place I am having the reception doesn't allow alcohol (which I am very happy with). But I still want people to be able to toast with something besides water/soda. So here's my thought. Every table gets a bottle of sparkling cider and I'll tie a shiny ribbon around it! Also, I can make this the center piece. Center pieces are usually extremely expensive. Well, mine would cost about $5 a pop! I could, if I wanted, to put toasting classes around the sparking sider in the middle of the table and tie each one with the ribbon as well. Center piece: Check.
5. I love cupcakes. I might use a lot of cupcakes instead of a cake. How cute and dainty would that be?!
6. BALLOONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea what I want to do with these, but one thing I thought of was having my bridesmaids carry balloons. 60per bouquet gets turned into $5 for a bridesmaids balloons. I think this would just make it sorta whimsical and fun.
7. Bright colors really make me happy. My colors are pink and silver. If I decide to do flowers (which I probably will) I don't just want pink flowers, I want multicolored flowers!

And here's another idea about flowers. While the steelers were losing horrible in the super bowl, I got online and was looking up wedding flowers. I learned how to make paper flowers! It's actually really easy, and it would be so cheap. It's also something I can start NOW : ) Once I learned how to make paper roses, I found a website on how to make a bouquet out of paper roses. So. Awesome. Here are some directions I got on a website on how to make paper roses

And look, put the flowers on a toothpick and then into a Styrofoam ball!

Tada!!!

Have a great week!

It's been a long long time since I updated.

Monday the 31st, I begin my 4th week of school for this semester. Time flies.

Wedding update:
June 2nd, 2012, is the date of my wedding!
Colors: pink and silver!
I'm so excited to marry my best friend. It's going to amazing!

I think I'm going to start posting a once a week blog with my thoughts on... SOMETHING. I say something because I don't want to give an exact definition to what it is, because then there are no rules.
Here's today:
To do lists and post-it-notes.
I make LOTS of to do lists. I have about 4 for every week. I have one for the week of homework/school requirements, one for all of my social activities during the week, one for the weekend, and one for things I know will get done (example: make dinner one night, hang out with cody, organize my room... ect) It's just a lot of fun crossing things off of a list!
Post-it-notes are super fabulous. I write down tons of things I want to remember on post-it-notes. I tend to have them handy whenever i'm in class because I can write stuff down the teacher says is important, find that page in the text book, and stick it there. I don't mess up the book (sell backs!) and I remember what I wanted to remember. Fun stuff!

Wow, what a lame first rant. I think I'm just sleepy.
Today has been fabulous.
Goodnight!

Update? Yes.

Wow, I just realized that I hadn't updated my blog in awhile. Thank you Anjoli for updating yours. Without you doing so, I would have completely forgotten about blogspot :)

Since I last wrote, there have been some awesome things going on.
1. Cody came down and picked me up to take me home.
2. On said trip home, Cody proposed!!! Woah!
3. So, I'm engaged to marry my best friend in the whole world!
4. I was home again for Thanksgiving break
5. I'm not back at LU for the last 2 weeks of school!
6. Did I mention i'm engaged? I did? Guess I'm just really excited about it.

Pretty ring, huh? : ) I have the best fiance' ever.

So many people are stressed about the end of the school year. I'm happy to report that I am not yet one of them.
I took 5 classes down at Liberty, one of which ended in the middle of November. One final down, four to go! My Communications final is a speech. One thing I like about that is it is up to me how well I do. There's no trick questions or anything! My Bible final is only worth 5% of my final grade. However, we had a test the middle of November that was worth 30% of our grade. So that was more of a final than the real thing! The only two finals I'm worried about is my Math and Psych final. I need to do extremely well to get A's in those classes. But I'm studying like crazy, so there is hope : )

Exactly 14 days (2 weeks) until my lat final, and I can't wait.
15 days until I'm home.

I'm going to finish this semester strong, and hopefully with all A's.
Much love,
Me.

Life update.

I dyed my hair red : ) I feel as though I should have a fish named flounder and a Crab named Sebastian .

Today I got a surprise : ) 3/4 of my classes ended up being canceled!!! And the one class I had consisted of a test that took 10 minutes. So even though my usual Thursday (classes from 9-5 with a 2 hour break in the middle) ended up ending at 9:30, today has been one of the most stressful days since I've gotten down to LU. I have a HUGE psych test tomorrow that even though I've studied tons for, I feel as though I don't know anything... I have to write and prepare a speech for Tuesday... Also due on Tuesday I have a 10 page paper due... And I hate math and I had to work on a lot of math today.

The more stressed I get, the more I miss Cody. He's my rock and he keeps me sane (which is a difficult task when i'm not stressed much less when I am). Plus it doesn't help that all around campus there are all of these adorable couples.

I have a fever and sore throat... Tomorrow should be really fun.

Good night : )

Happy 50th Blog to me!

Not that anyone reads this, but oh well :p

Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite stories/musicals ever...

Top 2 reasons:

1. The music is phenomenal! Gerard Butler, Emma Rossum, and Patrick Wilson are AWESOME.

2. The love is forever lasting. The Phantom's love never dies for Christine and Raoul's love never dies for her either. Even in his old age, you can see the love in his eyes as he visits her grave. The actor's did a spectacular job portraying it.

I saw this in DC at the Kennedy Center live with the traveling Broadway group. SO GOOD!
I must get back to the movie.
Tootles!

Life is short

Learn to love.
Learn to laugh.
Learn to live.

Be grateful if you get to see the one's you love everyday.
Don't take hugs for granted.
Never give up an opportunity to tell someone you love them.
Take every chance you get to smile.

Life is too short to do anything different.
